National Savings Schemes are operated through a large network of 1.54 lakh Post Offices and branches of all Nationalised and three Private Commercial Banks namely, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank. More than 3 lakh Authorised Agents facilitate mobilization of savings by providing doorstep deposit facility to the investors.
NSI before its restructuring organized short duration Training Programmers for officials of Department of Posts, Banks and Authorised Agents. The training programmers for Banks, Postal officials and Authorised Agents are organised at NSI offices as well as training facilities of Banks.
With a view to avoid disruption in operation of operating agencies, NSI also conducted training programmers for Authorised Agents and officials of Post Offices in their respective place/ Post Offices.
